Long-Term Thinking for a Living Inlet

Sebastian Inlet is one of Florida’s most dynamic coastal resources. It supports navigation, protects nearby beaches, provides public access for fishing and recreation, and plays a vital role in the surrounding coastal ecosystem.

Because it is a living system—shaped by tides, storms, and shifting sand—it requires thoughtful, long-range management guided by science and professional expertise.

I am running for the Sebastian Inlet District Commission to bring focused stewardship and consistent engagement to this responsibility. My approach emphasizes planning ahead, balancing navigation and environmental health, and maintaining public trust through transparency and accountability.

My connection to the inlet goes back decades. As a teenager visiting my grandfather in Palm Bay, I experienced my first Florida sunrise over the Atlantic while fishing at Sebastian Inlet. It was one of his favorite places to reflect and appreciate the natural world. That experience left a lasting impression.

This campaign is about caring for a place that matters—quietly, responsibly, and for the long term.
